Brazil-Dominican Republic Cultural Center
The Brazil-Dominican Republic Cultural Center (CCBRD) was founded in 2009. It is located in a historical building, at Hermanos Deligne St., where the poet and diplomat Enrique Henríquez lived between 1928 and 1940, when he died.
Besides the classrooms for the Portuguese courses, the CCBRD has a library ("Hilda Hilst Library") with over two thousand books and a room for films and videos screening ("Glauber Rocha Room") with a seating capacity of sixty people. Apart from that, the CCBDR offers "samba" and "capoeira" classes for the local community.
