Brazil-Lebanon Cultural Center
The Brazil-Lebanon Cultural Center (BLCC) was founded in 2011 in a ceremony presided over by the Vice-President of the Republic. It is located in a traditional 19th century building, at Rua Mar Mitr, in the suburb of Achrafieh, in Beirut.
The BLCC has as its main purpose to strengthen the relations between Brazil and Lebanon by fostering the promotion of events that emphasize the cultural diversity of both countries. Since its opening, the CCBL has been working for the dissemination of the Brazilian Portuguese language and culture through the organization of events such Brazilian documentaries and films screening, conferences, fine arts exhibitions and folkloric festivals.
The CBCC also offers courses about the Brazilian music, Brazilian Portuguese language, and occasionally courses on traditional Brazilian culinary, dance and "capoeira".
